Overview

The following security services can be used to ensure that your data, devices, sensors and other IoT objects are protected.

• Nginx

  Nginx is an open-source microservice API gateway and platform. Edge Xpert uses Nginx as a component of the API gateway, as described in Nginx Component of API Gateway.

• Vault

  Vault is the EdgeX secret store. Edge Xpert uses Vault to store users' credentials, as described in Vault Secret Store.
